Description:
With a clean slate, 539 8th Street SE welcomes Lavagna Ristorante Italiano, tentatively opening on July 12th. Lavagna is a city located in the Genoa province of Northern Italy, where the hills are renowned for slate production. Lavagna is also Italian for "chalkboard." Owner Stephen Cheung created a menu portraying the idea of what food should be: "It should be just like a chalkboard - simple, fresh, and innovated often." Lavagna's chalkboard menu will focus on easily recognizable Italian cuisine, and options will include fresh pastas made in-house daily. Renovations to the main dining room reflect Stephen's belief that Italian cuisine is best enjoyed in a family friendly environment. The bar has been redesigned and relocated to the second floor, abutting a lovely dining room. | |
